Under Head Coach Brock Ungricht's leadership, earning him back-to-back WCC Coach of the Year honors, the Toreros found their rhythm when it mattered most.

• Winners of 19 of their last 24 games heading into the tournament

Award-Winning Excellence

USD's incredible season was recognized across the board at the 2025 WCC end-of-year awards ceremony.

Cal Scolari, our redshirt freshman sensation, claimed WCC Pitcher of the Year honors with a stellar 4-1 record, 39 strikeouts, and a .200 opponent batting average. His five consecutive starts of five or more innings to close the regular season proved he's ready for the big stage.

Jayden Lobliner, the transfer catcher from Kansas State, earned WCC Defensive Player of the Year recognition with a .992 fielding percentage and 15 caught stealing attempts. His leadership behind the plate has been invaluable.

Four Toreros—Scolari, Austin Smith, Jack Gurevitch, and Logan Reddemann—earned All-WCC First Team honors, while Isaiah Lane and Rex Watson joined the Second Team. The depth of talent across our roster is unprecedented.

Vegas Awaits

As the defending WCC Tournament champions and back-to-back regular season titlists, the Toreros head to Las Vegas with championship expectations. They've proven they can perform under pressure, and now they're ready to do it on the biggest stage.
